Who We Are

One of the fastest growing schools in the State of Florida. An "A" rated  Florida High School with tremendous academics and an amazing athletic and educational facility. Our Boys Basketball team through its' continued mantra of the 3 C's: in the Classroom, in the Community, and on the Court have had tremendous success in this our 9th year.

Congrats to Team 9 (2018-2019) for capturing the FHSAA District 4 8A Championship with a win over Fleming Island 46-34. 
Congrats to Senior Deonte Sherwood on his commitment to Sage College (NY) to play basketball and pursue a degree in Nursing. 
Congrats to Jonathan Bryant II for committing to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on a basketball scholarship. Jon becomes the first Division I boys basketball signee in school history and only the third Clay county boys basketball player to sign out of high school in the last 11 years.

Mandatory Summer League Parent Informational Meeting: 
For all student-athletes interested in trying out for the Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Summer League Team at Oakleaf High School.

Meeting will be held at the Oakleaf High School Gym:  Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
Look forward to letting you know about the forms needed, try-out information, and summer league schedule. Summer League Fee will be: Varsity $150 :  Junior Varsity $100

Summer League Try-Out: Saturday June 1st Varsity 4:00-6:00pm (arrive by 3:30 pm)

Saturday June 1st Junior Varsity 6:00-8:00 pm (arrive by 5:00 pm)

Congrats to the Boys Varsity for winning the Bozard Ford St. Augustine Holiday Tournament Championship game over Deland High School 60-59 on an OT put back layup by Dominique Mitchell as time expired. Jonathan Bryant II was named Tourney MVP. First Holiday or regular season tournament championship in school history.

Congrats to the Varsity for a 44-38 District Semi Final win over Bartram Trail.

Congrats Boys Varsity on a 57-36 Senior Night win vs. Middleburg. Varsity ends the regular season with the best overall record in school history at 16-6.

Congrats to the Varsity for a 49-41 win over Sandalwood. JV also with a good win.

Congrats to the Varsity on a 3-1 record over the holiday break with wins over Lee, Baker County, and Wolfson.

Friday December 7 Home vs. Orange Park
Congrats to the Boys Varsity for a 44-24 win vs. Orange Park, Oakleaf is now 4-1 on the season. Kenny Thomas 14 points, Chantz Williams 8 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks. Chantz set the all time block shot record now sitting at 214, he surpassed the previous record of 211 set by Kevin Thomas Griffin. Congrats to the JV for a 74-60 win over OP. They are now 4-0 on the season.

Thursday December 6 @ Clay
Congrats to the Boys Varsity  with a hard fought grind it out win vs. Clay 40-36. Congrats to the JV for there win a moving to 3-0 on the season.

Saturday December 1 @ Jackson vs. Lake Minneola (Jackie Simmons Classic)
We were honored to be invited to the Jackie Simmons Classic at Jackson High this past Saturday. A traditional early season showcase opportunity pitting northeast Florida area schools vs. mid and south Florida area schools  Your Knights took on perennial state ranked and frequent visitor to the Final Four and State Championship game in 6A , Lake Minneola. In the most complete game so far this season which displayed a terrific defensive performance coupled with disciplined offense allowed Oakleaf to come out with the 40-30 win.

Markel Allums 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists
Quintez Johnson team high 5 assists and 4 steals.

Friday November 30 vs. Ridgeview
TEAM 9 opened up our home games this season with a visit to the Palace from county foe Ridgeview. The completely new look from last year Panthers played a spirited game. Was very pleased with the effort and energy throughout the game from our team and from a very good crowd that was extremely supportive. Your Knights with a strong and controlled 4th quarter won 67-57.

Kenny Thomas 30 points (career high)
Chantz Williams 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks (and a huge second half dunk)
Zaki Butler 10 points.

Congrats to the Junior Varsity Team for 2-0 start with wins versus Ponte Vedra and Ridgeview.

Wednesday November 28 @ Ponte Vedra Your Knights opened up the season on the road versus a veteran Ponte Vedra team that played a great first quarter against us. Trailing early I was super proud of our team's resilience in mounting a furious come back from down 14 points to tie the game in the third quarter. A back and forth affair in the 4th quarter saw PV make some free throws late to seal the game and win 59-55.
